Air enters the heat pump

The outer air mixes with the refrigerant in the circuit and is heated by the compressor

Hot water is distributed to the different heating systems in the house

The water returns to the outer machine and cools the liquid to condense it and return it to its original state

The cooling process is the same but in reverse, it captures the heat from the rooms through the heating circuit, transfers it to the refrigerant circuit and this expels it to the outside
